Seven mid-level managers, some with more than 40 years experience, have been sacked by Australia’s Star Casino for a breach in email policies.  One of the managers reportedly forwarded an internal email revealing how the casino had apparently permitted international high rollers to gamble 24 hours straight.

Star Casino has brought in outside lawyers over this past week to axe the seven managers.

In the email forwarded by one of the sacked managers, Director of VIP services, Dean Wilson,  is quoted as say:  ‘For our [international rebate] guests we are under no obligation to stop their play at the 24-hour mark.  These guests travel with limited time to play and they have an established amount of funds that they are prepared to gamble with.'

That email was sent to Elizabeth Ward, a former manager turned whistleblower currently fighting the Star Casino over what she deems to be a wrongful dismissal.
