Cricket events between Pakistan and India have been cancelled following the events that unraveled in Mumbai last week.

Bookmakers throughout the city of Lahore in Pakistan have said that due to the recent Mumbai attacks, they stopped betting and are not issuing rates of any cricket matches, according to a report in the Daily Times.

They said that the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the Indian Cricket League (ICL), in which around 20 matches were scheduled, had suffered due to the terrorist attacks.

Cricket matches between some other nations including the Australia and New Zealand series have also been cancelled.

A large-scale bookmaker who runs his own business in the Sanda area claimed that gamblers throughout the city had lost more than Rs 20 billion after the cancellation of all bets. He said that he had closed down all betting activities, and was waiting for the business to restart after the situation had settled.
