NFL Conspiracy Against Online Gambling?

Sunday bloody Sunday could be the best way to describe Week 7 of the NFL for online bookmakers.

"It's like when you walk into a fight knowing you're going to get your ass kicked, but no way of getting out, that is how I felt when I walked into the office Sunday," said one Costa Rican bookmaker.

He was referring to the huge disparity in games on the board and how everything went the public's way.

"You could have made the Indianapolis Colts a 25 point favorite against the St. Louis Rams and people still would have been betting Indianapolis," said the bookie.

Of course, the Colts, like most of the big favorites in Sunday's unusually large number of lopsided matchups won.

"Last week was the same way, tons of lopsided matchups, only difference being that everything went our way."

Sunday's matchups included the New England Patriots vs. Tampa Bay Bucs, New York Jets vs. Oakland Raiders, Green Bay Packers vs. Cleveland Browns and San Diego Chargers vs. Kansas City Chiefs, all of which were blowouts.

"I get the feeling the NFL is conspiring to put us (online gambling companies) out of business," the bookie surmised.

The bookies made out somewhat with Arizona's win over the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys win over Atlanta.
