A new $1 billion domed stadium will be home to the University of Nevada and certainly could be an enticement to the Raiders, a team desperately seeking out a more modern stadium.

Adelson, in addition to being the new owner of the LVRJ, is head of the Las Vegas Sands Corp and owns several casinos.  He is also one of the richest men in the United States and a major donor to the GOP party.

Representatives of the Raiders were not immediately available for comment on Davis’s reported meeting with Adelson when approached by media outlets.

The story was heavily trending on Twitter Thursday evening.
