New Jersey State Senator Raymond Lesniak confirmed Monday he will be running again for his Democratic seat.

Lesniak is among the most ardent supporters of legalized online gambling in the state and has been instrumental in getting a bill passed that would also legalize sports betting in Atlantic City casinos.

He will continue to make this one of his top priorities moving forward.

“SPORTS BETTING: keeping up my fight for legalized sports betting at our casinos in Atlantic City and our racetracks to promote tourism and boost these vital job producing industries suffering from severe revenue losses.”

There was some concern Lesniak might not run after suffering a small stroke last August.

“I’ve just got to slow down my hard charging self a little bit,” Lesniak said at the time.
