Despite the downward economy, Ireland's largest bookmaker continues to prosper it seems.

Paddy Power, which recently joined the Gambling911.com family of fine sponsors, has announced plans to open several new betting outlets in the North west region of England.

They are already the United Kingdom's third largest bookmaking firm after Ladbrokes and William Hill.

Regional head of Development, David Berger, said: "Colliers CRE has a market leading reputation and a strong track record of representing aggressively acquisitive occupiers and we're confident that they can help us achieve our targets."

Associate Director at Colliers CRE Manchester Nick McAllester, said, "Paddy Power is an extremely strong brand throughout the betting world thanks in part to its humorous and sometimes controversial advertising as well as its innovative betting offers.

"We are progressing well with acquiring a number of new shops for Paddy Power and we look forward to continue helping them expand rapidly in the North West."
