Rank has reportedly offered £250 Million to rival Gala Coral as part of a potential acquisition bid. Should it go through, the combined company would become the biggest casino chain in Great Britain.
Rank currently operates 35 gambling establishments while Gala has a total of 24 casinos.
In a statement, Rank said: “The terms of any such acquisition have not been finalised and there is no certainty a transaction will occur.”
