Despite much speculation in recent months, the Allentown Morning Call reported on Tuesday that the Sands Bethlehem Casino is not for sale and that Sands chairman Sheldon Adelson has announced further investment in the property.

In some respects, Sands Corp is doubling down on the property.  Last week they named a new President, Mark Juliano, formerly one of the top executives from Singapore.  Juliano was a former Atlantic City casino executive as well.

"We are certainly proud of the financial success Sands Bethlehem has achieved, but we are also very proud of fulfilling the commitments we made to the people of the Lehigh Valley," Adelson said in a written statement. "Bringing pride back to a historic site many thought was lost for good is the real legacy of Sands Bethlehem, and that is the foundation on which we will continue to build."
