An upstart bookie firm baked by Tory MP Zac Goldsmith is on the verge of going bust after losing £115,000 in the 12 months to June 30 last year.

The organization, which has dubbed itself the ‘Annabel’s of bookmaking’ because of its exclusive client list and high-profile financial backers, is part-run by George Osborne’s uncle, James, according to the Daily Mail.

If these losses continue, the betting firm could be run into the ground.

Documents reveal that Zac, 40, is among the company’s leading investors and currently holds 15,590 shares in Fitzdares’s parent company.  The firm’s owners blame unfavorable sporting results.

Zac, the son of the late tycoon Sir James Goldsmith, is the Conservative MP for Richmond Park and North Kingston, and officially joined the race to replace Boris Johnson as London Mayor two weeks ago.
