Virgin Games announced on Monday it will now be under new ownership effective 29 January. Gamesys has taken over the company after eight years of dedicated services as an online casino, bingo and poker operator.
Affiliates of Virgin Games will be migrated into the Gamesys affiliate program.
Gamesys was founded in 2001 by Noel Hayden, Robin Tombs, Andrew Dixon and four developers. They operate the popular online gambling site Jackpotjoy.
Gamesys also has a contract with Harrah’s Entertainment, which could help spearhead Virgin Games entry into the US market once regulation begins to take hold. The Virgin name is already well established in the US.
The group now includes Gamesys Limited, Mice and Dice Limited, Profitable Play Limited and Leisure Spin Limited.
- Gamesys Limited is the software development and technical support services business.
- Mice and Dice Limited is the internal marketing agency for the business.
- Profitable Play Limited is the UK player operator business based in Gibraltar.
Leisure Spin Ltd is the non-UK player gaming operator based in Gibraltar.
