World Series of Poker: Who’s Out Early?
The 2009 World Series of Poker is just getting underway but already a number of big name poker pros and celebrities have left the building.
Good bye Lacy Jones! She was among the first gone on Sunday.
"Out. Set over set. So sick," the poker babe bellowed.
Evelyn Ng also got knocked out early.
"I'm out in level 2. I played bad and deserved it. what's wrong with me?!"
Annie Duke was dangerously close to getting eliminated at press time Sunday evening as well.
"The ESPN guys are standing around like vultures waiting for me to go broke," Duke declared.
Chris Moneymaker and Doyle Brunson among those who got the boot Saturday.
"WSOP 2009 is over for me," Brunson said. "It's disappointing, but also a sense of relief. Now back to the real world."
And by that we here at Gambling911.com presume he means back to those online celebrity bounty tournaments he's promising to return in the coming days."
Others who made an early exit included Vicky Coren, Jeremiah Smith, Ralph Perry, David Steicke, and David "The Dragon" Pham.
Perhaps the biggest shocker of the weekend was the early elimination of Daniel Negreanu, who had been vying for the honor of "2009 World Series of Poker Player of the Year".
"Out of the WSOP and don't really care. So sick I just need a bed," he said.
