Tunica Casinos Could Stay Closed for One Month
The recent flooding along the Mississippi River has resulted in a financial disaster for the Tunica casinos, which were forced to close over the weekend and may remain so for another month.
The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality has stated that the river reached flood stage in Tunica County Friday, however, the forecasted crest will not take place until May 12 at over 52 feet.

Microgaming Online Casinos Pulling out of US Market
Reports have surfaced that Microgaming, one of the largest providers of online casinos, will no longer allow US players.
The company had previously pulled its poker network out of the US market following attempts by the Commonwealth of Kentucky to seize several dozen online gambling-related domain names. Some Microgaming casinos continued to operate in states where the activity was not specifically deemed illegal.
The move appears to have coincided with a crackdown against the three largest US-facing Internet poker rooms on April 15.

Many Dead in Karachi Gambling Club Explosion
At least 16 people were killed and 40 others wounded after a bomb went off in one of Karachi, Pakistan’s largest gambling clubs Thursday night.
According to CNN International, Raja Umar Khitab, a senior police official in Karachi, said the bomb was placed under a table at the club and consisted of at least 2 kg (about 4.5 pounds) of explosive material. The blast made a crater at the site, he added.
The explosion happened in the port city's Ghass Mandi section, police spokesman Muhammad Saleem said.
