Renegade comes into this weekend's Belmont Stakes race as the odds on favorite at 2-1
Kentucky Derby winner Golden Tempo follows with 9-2 odds
Chief Wallabee also has short odds at 3-1
The 7:04 p.m. post time is just an approximation, as most races tend to start a few minutes later than their listings. The 2026 Kentucky Derby was slated for a 6:57 p.m. post time, but it actually began at 7:07 after a late scratch at the gate.
Renegade has sat as the 2-1 favorite all week followed by Kentucky Derby winner Golden Tempo at 9-2.
Renegade was the 2nd place finisher at the Kentucky Derby and had previously won the Arkansas Derby. He is trained by Todd Fletcher, who has six Triple Crown race wins under his belt already.
Emerging Market was still coming in at 6-1 odds. He punched his ticket to the Triple Crown trail by winning the Grade 2 Louisiana Derby in just his second lifetime race.
He has two wins in three starts to date but disappointed in this year's Kentucky Derby with a 10th place finish.
The biggest explanation for that lackluster performance is that Emerging Market lost his left front shoe on the first turn of the Derby.
Belmont Stakes Morning Odds
Golden Tempo, 9-2
Vitruvian Man, 30-1
Power Shift, 12-1
Chief Wallabee, 3-1
Renegade, 2-1 (morning line favorite)
Ottinho, 20-1
Growth Equity, 12-1
Commandment, 6-1
Emerging Market, 6-1
