Kentucky Derby

Today's the big day with the 2026 Kentucky Derby set to go off shortly after 6:30 pm EDT.   All odds courtesy of our friends at BetOnline, which have been taking bets on the Derby since 1999.

Renegade remains the favorite to win but with excellent payout odds of 5-1.  This is one of the most competitive Kentucky Derbys in modern times.

Renegade was also the horse seeing the second most bet count, after Chief Wallabee at 9-1 odds.

Danon Bourbon hopes to become the first Japanese horse to win the Kentucky Derby.  He shattered the record for the 9-Fukuryu Stakes by 3½ lengths.

Commandment  7-1 comes into this one having won the most consecutive starts (4).
