Sam's Town Shreveport

Bally's is set to own two Shreveport, Louisiana casinos directly across from one another.

Boyd Gaming is selling its Sam’s Town Hotel & Casino in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Bally’s for an undisclosed amount.  Boyd Gaming has run the venue for nearly 22 years.

The property is located directly across the street from the Bally's Shreveport Casino & Hotel.

This deal is set to close in the 3rd quarter of this year.

Sam's Town Hotel & Casino in Shreveport generally receives mixed to positive reviews on TripAdvisor, with guests frequently praising the friendly staff, spacious rooms with large bathrooms, and convenient location. Many visitors enjoy the on-site dining and Spa Blu, according to TripAdvisor.

Bally's Shreveport Casino & Hotel tends to receive more negative reviews pertaining primarily to dated rooms and understaffing issues during peak times.

Soo Kim, executive chairman of Bally’s, said: “As an existing operator in Shreveport, we know this market well and understand what makes it special – from its loyal customer base to its important role in the region's broader gaming and entertainment landscape. The acquisition of Sam's Town Shreveport reflects our confidence in the community and our long-term commitment to growing our presence here."

Kim said the company sees "meaningful opportunities" to reinvest in the market and further strengthen Shreveport's position as a destination for gaming and entertainment. Bally's will share more details about its broader vision and plans for the property and the market "in the near future," according to his statement.

With the addition of Sam’s Town Shreveport, Bally’s domestic casino portfolio will total 19 properties across 11 states, including what will be three in Louisiana.
