Casino Video of Slain Pasquale Barbaro Appears in Court Trial Just Hours After Murder

Casino video footage featuring Pasquale Barbaro speaking with Brothers 4 Life boss played in court as evidence of a murder trial just hours after Barbaro’s execution west of Sydney Monday night.

A member Australia’s Barbaro crime family, the 35-year-old was found shot to death near his car.  It appeared he had been shot in the car and attempted to flee down an alley way where his body was eventually found.

Two hooded gunmen were witnessed running from the scene.  A luxury Audi believed to be linked to the murder was found set ablaze on a nearby street.

Less than 12 hours later, Star Casino CCTV footage of Barbaro speaking with criminal boss Farhad Qaumi, who is accused of killing debt collector Joe Antoun, was played in NSW Supreme Court, the Daily Telegraph reported.

The footage, which features Barbaro and Qaumi with their arms around one another and scrolling through texts on a cell phone, was taken over two weeks before the 2013 murder of Antoun.

There was also an audio conversation played between the two men.

Barbaro was rumoured to be a high-ranking informant to the Crime Commission, according to the Daily Mail.

Barbaro was headed home to see his girlfriend when he was gunned down Monday night.

'He was on his way to see me last night but never made it,' his girlfriend told the Sydney Morning Herald.

Barbaro’s execution style murder is believed to be the result of a Calabrian mafia war.  He reportedly owed another gang member $1 million. The Calabrian mafia is known to engage in drug trafficking and illegal gambling among other illicit activities, according to authorities.
