Christian Sanchez

We’re one half-week into the MLB Season and we’ve already seen a change atop the odds for NL Cy Young at BetOnline.ag.

Paul Skenes, who won the 2025 Cy Young Award in his first full major league season, opened as a sizable favorite to win back-to-back awards.

His first start was a disaster. He allowed five earned runs in 2/3 of an inning which equates to a 67.5 ERA! So even if he throws a complete game shutout in his next start, his ERA is still 4.65.

The worst start of Skenes career opened the door for last year’s runner-up, Christian Sanchez. He responded with six shutout innings with no walks and 10 strikeouts.

And now, he’s the new favorite to win Cy Young at BetOnline.ag.

Cy Young Award odds are fluid and subject to change.
