Police were investigating a late night shooting Monday at the Bally's casino in Kansas City
One man was pronounced dead at the scene and the suspect is on the run

Police in Kansas City were investigating a shooting overnight Monday outside the Bally's Casino.
They were called to the parking garage shortly before midnight following reports of an altercation between two groups of individuals.
Officers said at one point, someone fired a gun, shooting a man. Police found him unresponsive on the floor of the parking garage. Medics rushed the man to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The shooter left the scene and police did not know which direction that individual was heading.
Police issued this statement:
"We are aware of the tragic incident that occurred outside of our Kansas City property.
"We are grateful to confirm that none of our guests or team members were harmed or directly affected. The safety and security of everyone on our property remains our highest priority.
"We commend the swift and professional response of the Kansas City Police Department and first responders, and we are cooperating fully with authorities as they continue their investigation.
"Out of respect for the ongoing investigation, we will defer additional details to law enforcement."
Police are reviewing casino security footage to determine who is responsible. They ask anyone who may have information to call 816-474-TIPS.
