It's alive!  Literally.

A Mesa, Arizona man bet $15 on the “It’s Alive! Frankenstein” slot machine at a Chandler, Arizona-area casino and walked away a millionaire.

The jackpot, which hit last Sunday, was the third largest ever recorded at the Gila River Resorts & Casinos.

“I would guess he was pretty happy about that,” said Jessica Johnson, general manager at Lone Butte.

Johnson said the winning machine was a large progressive slot, meaning the jackpot had been growing over time before finally hitting Sunday night.

Casino employees spent hours verifying the massive payout before the winner could officially collect his money this past week.

“They have to verify the jackpot, which can take a little bit of time,” Johnson said. “They actually had to call the manufacturer of the slot machine to make sure that all was good.”

"It's Alive!", developed by Ready Play Gaming in 2021, takes place in Frankenstein's laboratory, featuring animated monsters, electrical equipment, and classic horror imagery.  It features 5 reels, 25 paylines and a Return to Player rate of 94.93%.

Online casino variants include NetEnt's "Frankenstein" with its 96.6% RTP.
