Glover Teixeira and Jamahal Hill will fight for the vacant light heavyweight title at UFC 283 in January.

News broke during the early morning hours Sunday December 11.

Some phone calls were made, and the deal is "done," UFC President Dana White said.

"Everybody started to cheer up a bit, and it got a little more fun in the green room," he said.

SportsBetting.ag opened the odds with Hill positioned as a -160 favorite and Teixeira a +140 underdog.

All of the early action has come in on the dog, moving the line just a bit. Here are the current fight odds:

Glover Teixeira +130

Jamahal Hill -150

Teixeira (33-8) dropped the title to Prochazka at UFC 275 in June in what was perhaps the best bout of 2022.
