As first reported by Gambling911.com leading up to this year's Super Bowl, Jazz Sports out of San Jose, Costa Rica is undergoing serious insolvency and upheaval.
The company, which was acquired in late 2024 by a former principal in BetOnSports, denied a number of professional sports gamblers their payouts at the time of an acquisition in late 2024.
The new owners told Gambling911 that these players were part of a sheet not disclosed to them by the long time owner and founder, a gentleman we will call "Mike".
At the time, Mike reached out to Gambling911 insisting he wanted to stay on board and make things right with these players but the new owners would end up kicking him to the curb.
Sources close to Gambling911 reveal that a gentleman by the name of " Lou" (owner/manager) has reportedly left the country, and they, have let go of most employees. Two groups were said to be eyeing both the Pay Per Head portion of their businesss and the post-up, the latter with so-called "bailout" programs, which would require a significant rollover on one's balance. Only recreational players would be eligible should this come to fruition, we are told.
Now comes word of slow payouts.
While the company continues to send out emails promising big welcome and reload bonuses, romo99 on BookmakerReview reports the following:
"I’ve been waiting for a $1000 payment since Dec 15. Priscilla finally told me today on the phone that all Payments are on hold until the first week of March. They’ve been paying me every 30-45 days."
