Such was the case with Kalshi’s site going down in the middle of the afternoon of college football Saturday.

To be clear, Kalshi was back up in under an hour. We’re not here to bash the site’s technology. Instead, this serves as a testament to just how big Kalshi has become over these past couple of months, propelled mostly by the prediction market’s willingness to enter the lucrative sports betting market, fisticuffs out.

As the website that first realized Bodog (later Bovada’s) potential when other mocked the name and concept, and the site that worked hard with entities like iMega to push for the overturning of sports betting prohibition in the USA, Gambling911 knows a good thing when we see it. Kalshi is the real deal.

Like Kalshi and its own legal endeavors to take part in the online gambling space, Gambling911 fought hard - and won - to have online news outlets be treated the same way as legacy news outlets when requesting information that could become impactful to its audience. We truly admire their grit and willingness not to back down.

With that being said, it should come as little surprise that Kalshi dominated in search queries coming to the Gambling911 site on Saturday. They were truly amazing.
