Police have not yet arrested anyone in connection to Monday night's fatal shooting in a parking garage at Bally's Kansas City casino
This was one of five fatal shootings in the city over the course of this week
Police were still in search for an individual wanted in connection with a fatal shooting of a man inside a Kansas City casino garage.
The incident occurred shortly before midnight Monday night at the Bally's Casino.
A call came in of an altercation between two groups of individuals. Officers said at one point, someone fired a gun, shooting a man. Police found him unresponsive on the floor of the parking garage. Medics rushed the man to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The shooter left the scene and police did not know which direction that individual was heading.
Police issued this statement:
"We are aware of the tragic incident that occurred outside of our Kansas City property.
"We are grateful to confirm that none of our guests or team members were harmed or directly affected. The safety and security of everyone on our property remains our highest priority.
"We commend the swift and professional response of the Kansas City Police Department and first responders, and we are cooperating fully with authorities as they continue their investigation.
"Out of respect for the ongoing investigation, we will defer additional details to law enforcement."
The Bally's shooting was part of a violent stretch of five killings in the city in less than a week.
