Ladbrokes Coral Share Price Jumps 28% on News of Possible Takeover

Shareholders in Ladbrokes Coral were licking their chops Thursday following news that GVC plans to make a 3.9 billion bid for the gambling company.

Ladbrokes Coral shareholders were expected to be offered cash and shares equal to 160.9p a share in addition to an uplift worth up to 42.8p a share subject to conditions of the deal.

Ladbrokes was trading at 174p, up 28 per cent from Wednesday’s close. GVC was up 7.5 per cent to a record high of 980p a share.
