Putin Chances of Leaving Still at 11% After Massive Ukraine Drone Attack on Russian Oil Field

A Ukrainian drone attack struck an oil terminal in St. Petersburg on Saturday, Russian officials said, as Kyiv presses on with bombardment of Russia’s oil infrastructure. Almost daily long-range attacks on Russian oil facilities have created a fuel crisis and heaped political pressure on the Kremlin as its all-out invasion of Ukraine stretches into its fifth year. Gov. Alexander Beglov said the city’s Kirovsky district on the Baltic Sea was hit. He also said that air defenses shot down 72 Ukrainian drones across Russia’s second-largest city and the surrounding region. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy described the attack as part of Ukraine’s “long-range sanctions” against Russia. He said that Ukrainian forces also hit a military target on the island of Kronstadt, just off the coast of St. Petersburg. Russian President Vladimir Putin's exit chances were still sitting at 11% at prediction markets.

While states like Wisconsin and Nebraska look to expand their sports betting markets from strictly land-based to include mobile, Ohio is taking a completely opposite approach. The Save Ohio Sports Act was recently introduced to do just that. While the bill was introduced back in April, it was only brought to the House on Wednesday. Unlike many U.S. states, Ohio's legislative period goes right up through December, so plenty of time for this bill to advance. The sponsors say the goal is to reduce gambling addiction and protect the integrity of sports by rolling back many aspects of Ohio's sports betting market. Ohio was among the first states to consider regulating sports betting. While the process ultimately took longer than originally expected, Ohio's regulatory structure appeared to be one of the most expansive with sports wagering permitted in supermarkets, bowling alleys, bars and even gas stations.
