Judge to Rule Monday on Brendan Sorsby Injunction in Wake of NCAA Gambling Probe

A judge is set to decide today whether to grant Sorsby an injunction amidst a gambling investigation. The senior was ruled permanently ineligible by the NCAA after allegedly gambling on games involving his team. Sorsby has filed a request for an injunction that would allow him to play college football while his lawsuit against the NCAA flows through the justice department. His earlier request for reinstatement was denied.

Maine Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner remains the heavy -375 favorite to win against longtime Republican Senator Susan Collins despite a new controversy that broke over the weekend involving Platner having exchanged sexually explicit messages with multiple women early in his marriage. The Wall Street Journal first broke the story and included a photo of a bare-chested towel clad Platner from his old KIK account.

The reigning champions are dethroned. Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs are headed to the NBA Finals and favored to win it all. The Knicks come into their Game 1 as a +5 underdog, but be mindful that the Spurs just concluded a brutal series against the Thunder whereas New York swept the Cleveland Cavaliers and will have fresh legs coming into the Finals. Wembanyama is also now the 1/2 NBA Finals MVP.

Police were still in search for an individual wanted in connection with a fatal shooting of a man inside a Kansas City casino garage last Monday. Two groups reportedly got into an altercation. The victim has since been positively ID'd.
