228 Vietnamese Nationals Among Those Arrested in Jakarta's Online Gambling Crackdown

The Indonesian Police on Saturday arrested 321 foreign nationals in a major crackdown on an alleged online gambling operation based in a West Jakarta office building with suspects including 57 Chinese nationals, 228 Vietnamese nationals, 11 Laotians, 13 Myanmar nationals, three Malaysians, five Thais, and three Cambodians, according to Brigadier General Wira Satya Triputra, director of general crimes at the National Criminal Investigation Agency. The suspects allegedly played different roles in running the gambling website. While staying at various accommodations around Hayam Wuruk, they reportedly traveled to the office building specifically to operate the online gambling platform.
