We have your primary odds for four states on Tuesday June 9. Maine odds were released last week as many are following the path of Graham Platner. Odds have flipped from favorable to non-favorable for a Janet Mills’ endorsement, but Platner’s chances of being elected in November have slightly improved since last week. Nirav Shah has moved ahead of Troy Jackson and into the favorite position after having the second-best odds (+150) for the Maine Governor Democratic nominee last week. Nevada House of Representatives odds are fairly tight, and the numbers suggest Joe Lombardo will not be re-elected as the state’s governor. South Carolina’s primaries show heavy favorites across the board.

FanDuel Laying Off Thousands

FanDuel has undergone layoffs. It may impact a few hundred people of roughly 5,000 total employees, a source says. FanDuel rep: "While decisions like this are never easy, these changes will strengthen our ability to execute on our long-term strategy." Employees received a meeting invite the night before; when they joined the next day, an HR rep was on the call. “As soon as I saw the HR person, I was like ‘oh god, here we go.’”

Spanish Football Club Alleged to Have Hedged Relegation Risk Via Kalshi

Spanish football club Osasuna attempted to hedge the impact of its relegation from the country’s top football league by buying a €1.2 million ($1.4 million) insurance policy involving a bet on the prediction market Kalshi. The club revealed Mondayy that it purchased “insurance” from broker Howden, which would’ve guaranteed it €6 million ($6.9 million) in the event of relegation from La Liga and helped cover any subsequent financial losses. It said, “Documents issued by Howden and LaLiga… confirm that such policies are routinely used by clubs and sports organizations to protect against financial contingencies related to their activity.”

Brendan Sorsby Will Play for Texas Tech, Oddsmakers Adjusting Odds: Will Still Miss First Two Games

Brendan Sorsby has been granted a temporary injunction in a Texas court to play in 2026 despite gambling admissions. The decision essentially overturns the NCAA ruling that made Sorsby permanently ineligible for gambling violations and clears a path for the fifth-year-senior to play for the Red Raiders in 2026. Sorsby will miss the Red Raiders’ first two games against Abilene Christian and Oregon State as part of the decision but would be eligible to play the rest of the season. Oddsmakers at BetOnline were currently adjusting Texas Tech odds and futures as this goes to press.
