A male individual was hospitalized with serious but non-life threatening injuries after being shot early Saturday morning at the Oneida Casino property in Green Bay.
Ashwaubenon police were called to the establishment following reports of a shooting at 1:53 am.
And now we are learning it was the man's own brother who allegedly committed the shocking crime.
39-year-old Long Thao, a resident of Appleton, Wisconsin, has been charged with First-Degree Intentional Homicide as well as Possession of a Firearm as a Convicted Felon, and while under a Child Abuse Injunction, Operating a Firearm While Intoxicated, Resisting or Failing to Stop, OWI, and Refusal to Take an Intoxication Test After Arrest.
The duo reported arrived at the casino together and later got into a verbal argument following three-and-a-half hours of gambling and drinking.
The duo went out to the parking garage, where Thao grabbed a gun and pointed it at the victim.
The victim told police he began to walk away, which is when he was shot in the back.
Thao then allegedly stood over him and pointed the gun at his head, but decided not to when the victim said, “I love you.”
