DeLuca, 70, was picked up at his home in Broward County on a warrant stemming from an indictment unsealed Monday alleging that he had helped New England mob boss Francis P. "Cadillac Frank" Salemme and Salemme's son bury Steven A. DiSarro's body in Providence.

DiSarro of Westwood, Mass, reportedly had ties to the Salemmes. and the Patriarca family with the father-son tandem having a “hidden” interest in “The Channel”, the nightclub once owned by DiSarro.  A brother of the elder Salemme was sentenced to 53 months in prison for running two illegal sports betting businesses.

Authorities arrested DeLuca in 2011 for racketeering conspiracy, and he agreed to cooperate with investigators in exchange for leniency. During an interview in Massachusetts in June 2011, he denied any knowledge of DiSarro's disappearance or suspected murder. He also denied knowing anything about any other murders linked to the mob, it says. In exchange for his "complete and truthful" cooperation, DeLuca was sentenced to one day in prison.
