New Betting Markets Released July 26: JD Vance Says 'Couch' Before August
One of the top new betting markets that opened up Thursday pertains to the MLB trade deadline. This market is limited to the days leading up to July 30 and could possibly close before then if every player offered up is traded (doubtful). We also have a new betting market on Donald Trump's VP pick mentioning the word "couch". You might not want to read any further as it involves sex. Who are we kidding? Scroll down for more.
Next Team Odds Garrett Crochet
Odds on Garrett Crochet's next team have him favored to land with the Baltimore Orioles.
Crochet is the one bright spot for Major League Baseball's worst team, the Chicago White Sox. He's 6-7 with a 3.07 ERA currently.
Despite how good he's been, clubs worry about how Crochet will hold up down the stretch.
BetOnline was offering Garrett Crochet Next Team odds.

JD Vance Says 'Couch' Before August
It may sound silly but Donald Trump VP pick JD Vance and a couch are a thing.
Let's explain for those of you who don't follow stories about politics and sexual relations with inanimate objects.
We will let the New York Post explain:
The Associated Press is being ridiculed after it pulled down a “fact check” story on an X-rated hoax about Trump running-mate JD Vance involving a couch and a rubber glove, claiming it “didn’t go through [their] standard editing process” before publication.
The article, which was tagged with an authoritative “AP Fact Check” header, was titled “No, JD Vance did not have sex with a couch,” alluding to a fake claim that the Ohio senator described making love to a sofa in graphic detail in his 2016 memoir “Hillbilly Elegy.”
The salacious hoax spread like wildfire on social media, reportedly sparked by an X user who tweeted out a description of the alleged lewd act complete with a bogus citation.
Vance attempted some humor this week at his first rally in Ohio since being selected Trump's running mate and that pretty much failed miserably. You can support the ticket and agree with that sentiment. He bombed.
So perhaps he'll make another go at the humor bit by mentioning the "couch" story? Only 6% of those backing this new market believe he will before August 1 (with only a few days left on the calendar).
Polymarket is offering the betting market and here is how it will be resolved....
This market will resolve to "Yes" if J.D. Vance publicly mentions the word "Couch" between July 25, 5:30 PM ET and July 31, 2024, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No."
Pluralization/possessive of the word will count toward the resolution of this market.
A 'mention' includes the following:
-A verbal usage of the word "Couch".
-Any written usage of the word "Couch" published through J.D. Vance's social media or other official communication channels regardless of capitalization (@JDVance would qualify however @SenVancePress will not count).
Videos posted on his social media which were filmed outside this market's time frame will not qualify for a "Yes" resolution.
