The level of consistency Jokic has displayed throughout his career, along with improvement every year, the fact he rarely gets injured, his efficiency on offense and how he makes every player around him better has probably vaulted him into top 10 of all time conversation.
All that said, he has not been the favorite at BetOnline.ag to win this season’s MVP until yesterday morning.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has continued his two-way excellence while shooting a career high from the field and behind the three-point arc. Add in the fact that OKC started the season 24-1 while annihilating opponents, and it’s been tough to have anyone else but SGA as the favorite.
Well, thank you Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs have beaten the Thunder three times in the last six games, including the last two being blowouts.
All Jokic has done is lead the Nuggets to the fourth-best record, despite being without two starters for much of the year and now a third.
He scored 56 points with 16 rebounds and 15 assists. Oh, and he was 15-21 from the field, 4-6 from three and 22-23 from the line.

We’ve never seen anything like the Joker and may never again.
