The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office has filed a lawsuit seeking to keep more than $238,000 seized from two men who were charged with using their business and home as fronts for illegal, high-stakes gambling operations. Olvin J. Rodriguez Cuevas and Danilo Rodriguez, both of Bergen County, were arrested June 20 during the execution of search warrants at an Orange Avenue business in Irvington and their home on Garibaldi Avenue in Lodi, according to court documents.
Police raided both locations, seizing a total of $238,167, which the prosecutor’s office claims were illegal gambling proceeds. (more from NJ.com)
