Come one, come all.
Golden Gate Hotel And Casino owner Derek Stevens has just announced an open bar every night from 6 to 7 pm!!!!
Note to Gambling911 readers: This does NOT mean you don't tip your bartender.
"The Night Starts Here has officially been unveiled by our Owner/CEO @DerekJStevens. Starting NOW at #GoldenGateVegas, enjoy an OPEN BAR from 6-7PM and up to $1,000 in FREE PLAY per person every day! Let’s make history, #TheNightStartsHere!"

This hotel actually originally opened as a tent! Once fully constructed, rooms went for $1 a night.
They are still pretty affordable at around $69 per week day night during the month of October (2025).
The Golden Gate Hotel & Casino is located at One Fremont Street in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. A part of the Fremont Street Experience, it is the oldest and smallest hotel (122 rooms) on the Fremont Street Experience.
"Since 1906, our legacy has spanned the birth of Las Vegas. Our modern rooms draw inspiration from our colorful past and our prime location under the lights of the Fremont Street Experience delivers the energy of the future. Come stay where it all started at the first hotel in Vegas."
Some more fun facts: The biggest roulette bet in Las Vegas history was made at Golden Gate. The four kids from the cast of the MTV series, “The Buried Life” brought in $125,000 and wanted to parlay it into $1,000,000 to fulfill their 75th bucket list item of making a million bucks! Prior to the filming, the largest roulette bet in Las Vegas history was $220,000.
Golden Gate Hotel & Casino is named “One of the Hottest Boutique Hotels in all of Vegas” by USA Today’s Experience Vegas, “where the past meets the future and where the Las Vegas experience is very much alive and well.”
When asked how long this open bar will last, Golden Gate Casino replied "Believe it or not....forever".
Look for us there....every single night.
