PrizePicks Sees 825,000 Downloads in the Last 30 Days

James McLoughlin, the self-proclaimed "app marketing assassin", shocked us with these staggering numbers he provided via his LinkedIn page this weekend.

"Sweepstakes are sexy, but don't sleep on DFS! The download numbers are Ludacris.

"PrizePicks are singing, 'Move, DK, get out the way.'

"825,000 downloads in the last 30 days, according to exclusive data from MobileAction.

"Great Xmas campaigns and their marketing funnel dominate every channel.

"Underdog are barking and are #2 in the App Store. Seriously and continuously underappreciated.

"And Dabble continues to blow me away. Pound for pound, they are incredible.
I haven't seen an Aussie dominate in the US like this since Lauren Jackson was winning MVPs. Or maybe Hugh Jackman, every time he gets jacked and puts on the claws...

"Nevertheless, the moral of the story is that the DFS operators (with access to the big states) are dominating the App Store this sporting season.

"Sweepstakes might be blowing up, but they can't catch the original legal circumventors."

New Jersey Drones Mystery Opens Betting Markets

A series of betting markets have opened on the mysterious drone sightings over New Jersey.

Currently, these are markets open at Polymarket, with more anticipated:

  • Are the current New Jersey mystery drones aliens?
  • Mystery drones shot down by December 31, 2024?
  • New Jersey mystery drones from foreign country?
  • Mystery drones belong to US government?

A large number of mysterious drones have been reported flying over parts of New Jersey and the East Coast in recent weeks, sparking speculation and concern over who sent them and why.

New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy wrote to President Joe Biden asking for answers. New Jersey’s new senator, Andy Kim, spent Thursday night on a drone hunt in rural northern New Jersey, and posted about it on X.

Murphy and law enforcement officials have stressed that the drones don’t appear to be a threat to public safety, but many state and municipal lawmakers have nonetheless called for stricter rules about who can fly the unmanned aircraft.

The FBI is among several agencies investigating and has asked residents to share videos, photos and other information they may have about the drones.

KC Chiefs Finally Win

You may be scratching your heads if you happen to be a big fan of the NFL and Kansas City Chiefs but don't place wagers.

If you know, you know.

The Chiefs had gone 0-8 coming into their game against Cleveland on Sunday.

Huh?

That's 0-8 Against The Spread.

Kansas City beat the lowly Browns 21-7 in Cleveland on Sunday, thus snapping their ATS losing streak.

We were on the Chiefs thinking there was no way this team could have another failed cover and still be 13-1 Straight Up.

Patrick Mahomes threw two touchdown passes before leaving in the fourth quarter with an ankle injury, Xavier Worthy ran for a score and the Kansas City Chiefs finally didn't have to sweat out the final minutes with a 21-7 victory over the mistake-prone Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

Mahomes connected for TDs in the first half with Juju Smith-Schuster and Noah Gray as the Chiefs (13-1) built a 21-0 lead and then slogged their way through an ugly second half.

The defending Super Bowl champions have 10 wins by seven points or less, with six coming on the game's final play.
