Steven DiSarro of Westwood, Mass, reportedly had ties to former New England mob boss Francis “Cadillac Frank” Salemme of the Patriarca family.

Salemme, along with his son, was said to have had a “hidden” interest in “The Channel”, the nightclub owned by DiSarro, at the time of his disappearance.

Salemme was allegedly present at the scene of DiSarro’s murder and even assisted in burying his body.

He had already been serving time for crimes that ranged from extorting money and a car from associates to collecting "rent" from local bookies and loan sharks and attempting to pressure union officials involved in film projects in Massachusetts, California and Nevada.

DiSarro’s wife Pamela says, “We look forward to the conclusion of the FBI’s investigation so we can learn as much as possible about what really happened to Steven and finally get some closure for our family.”

The brother of Francis Salemme, John J. "Jackie" Salemme, was indicted in 1996 and sentenced to 53 months in prison for running two illegal sports betting businesses.
