SBC Summit Americas kicks off today (Tuesday May 13, 2025), bringing together key gaming stakeholders for a three-day event that promises to shape the future of the industry on the continent.

US.- The wait is over: SBC Summit Americas officially gets underway today, uniting Latin America and North America gaming industries under one roof.

Until May 15, the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, will host more than 10,000 industry professionals and host 400+ exhibitors and sponsors in what is expected to be a milestone event.

In response to the evolving needs of the industry and a global landscape marked by constant challenges and an urgent demand for knowledge exchange, SBC has decided to merge its former SBC Summit Latinoamérica and SBC Summit North America events. The result is SBC Summit Americas, a single, unified event designed to facilitate networking and business growth across the land-based and online casino and sports betting sectors throughout the continent.

Among the companies attending this year’s event are Altenar, Amusnet, BETBY, BetConstruct, Digitain, EGT Digital, EvenBet Gaming, Evolution, Fast Track, iGP, Kambi Group, Konami, Oddsgate, Play’n GO, Pragmatic Play, Soft2Bet, Sportradar, TaDa Gaming, Uplatform and WA.Technology, among others. Focus Gaming News is also an official media partner.

A meeting point to shape the industry’s future

According to event organisers, SBC Summit Americas is designed to address key areas such as regulatory frameworks, product innovation, the evolving interaction between operators and media entities, sports integrity, data rights, cryptocurrencies, advances in AI, cybersecurity, and the growing landscape of sports betting licensing opportunities.

The summit serves as a vital platform for operators, regulators, suppliers and affiliates to gain insight, forge strategic connections and engage in high-value commercial discussions within some of the most dynamic gaming and betting markets in both North and South America.

This is reflected in the packed two-day agenda curated by the event’s organisers.

The conference programme opens tomorrow (May 14) with a keynote speech by Julie Brown, vice chairman and inaugural chairman of the Florida Gaming Control Commission.

Among the day’s highlights is the panel discussion, “The regulation of social media x influencers in betting: Is Prevention Possible?”, which will explore the regulation of influencers promoting gambling content.

Also of note is “Brazil 2025: A surge in licensing and lessons so far”, offering practical insights into the evolution of Brazil’s regulatory framework and lessons from operators who have already obtained, or are preparing to obtain, licences.

The panel “All eyes on the Andes: what is to come?” will examine developments in the Colombian, Peruvian, Chilean and Ecuadorian markets, while “Beyond Brazil: Balancing growth across other LatAm markets” will explore how operators can continue to expand in Brazil while also investing in smaller markets across the region.

Later in the day, “igaming in North America – Canada or the US?” will address the future of the sector in Canada and the United States. Additional sessions will cover strategies to drive traffic acquisition in LatAm, responsible gambling, CRM tactics and player retention.
Second day highlights

The second day opens with “CASINO LEADERS: Bridging the gap between digital and land-based”, where panellists will discuss the latest omnichannel innovations and the intersection of technology, social media, and influencer marketing.

Another session will explore the regulatory challenges facing the tech industry and the effects of market fragmentation. Attendees can also expect discussions on artificial intelligence, the future of payments in igaming, and affiliate marketing challenges.

Market-specific panels will focus on Colombia, Mexico and Peru, alongside further sessions on Brazil. These will address the country’s evolving payments ecosystem, operational challenges, technological opportunities, and the need for localised solutions in response to new requirements from the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA). A dedicated session will also explore tribal gaming in the United States.

Among the confirmed speakers are Rodrigo Cambiaghi, Senior Sales Executive for Digital Advertising LatAm at Sportradar; Nicolas Campano, Sales Director for LatAm at Soft2Bet; Shawn Fluharty, Head of Government Affairs at Play’n GO; Matthew Ferrara, Sales Manager at Altenar; Jeremy Groves, COO at EvenBet Gaming; Muriel Le Senechal, Regional Commercial Director for LatAm at Fast Track; Beatriz Melges Lopes, Regional Director at BetConstruct; Jason McCulloch, Vice President of iGaming at Galaxy Gaming; Andy Mace, Head of Casino Personalisation at Sportradar; and Marco Pequeno, Country Manager – Brazil at Amusnet, among many other industry leaders.
