Should I Bet the Texas A&M Aggies in College Football This Week?
The Texas A&M Aggies were embarassed by App State in Week 2 but have otherwise looked good. We have important line analyses for Texas A&M games below. Live odds can always be found at BetOnline here (up to $1000 in welcome bonus money available).
Week 5 @ Mississippi State
The Aggies have responded since the loss to App State. They beat a good Arkansas 23-21.
“We could have been sitting here undefeated and be top five in the country and still be the same football team,” the Aggies head coach Jimbo Fisher said. “Now, I’d rather been that way. But at the same time ... it wouldn’t have made us a better football team. We’re finding out about ourselves a lot right now and what we’re trying to do. These kids have fight and grit.”
Against Mississippi State, Texas A&M has gone from a +2.5 to +4 point dog, the later number found at some of the more square shops overnight Friday.
We come up with a number 1.23 favoring Mississippi State, which gives us a 1 to 2.5 point overlay.
The four games we have analyzed where the line has hit both sides of the number 3 have all resulted in the favorite winning.
The Bulldogs have gone 4-2 over the last six meetings against Texas A&M. Mississippi State as a 7-point road dog beat Texas A&M last season.
Athlon Sports offered up this prediction:
"The real question is — Can the Texas A&M offense generate enough points to come away with the win in their first true road game of the season, in a hostile environment, against a solid Mississippi State defense? Based on what we have seen from the A&M offense so far (now minus its best weapon), the answer is no. Bulldogs hold on for a hard-fought win."
They have Mississippi State winning by 4. We believe they should be able to cover the +3.5 spread.
