Spurs shock pretty much everybody with a win over the Thunder to advance to the NBA Finals against the Knicks
New York has had plenty of rest and will take on a bruised and battered San Antonio squad as a +5 underdog

Wow. Everyone (except me), said the Oklahoma Thunder were going to win chips upon chips, following last year's dominance.
They have deft talent, they have depth on the bench and they have discernment in the front office. Most thought they would dominate for years and years to come.
And then came along a spider (real spida) named Wemby and the wild band of wackos in the southern city of San Antone.
The reigning champions are dethroned. Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs are headed to the NBA Finals.
Wembanyama scored 22 points, Julian Champagnie got 18 of his 20 off of 3-pointers and the Spurs beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 111-103 on Saturday night — bucking heavy odds to win a Game 7 on the road.
“This feeling, I can’t explain it,” Wembanyama said. “It’s so powerful.”
League is on full notice, but, hey, don't tell that to the New York Knickerbocker contingent. They have oodles to spend on faces and front-row fracas.
All that said, we're crazy pumped for a 2026 NBA Finals between the Spurs and the Knicks. The bettors are ready as well.
The Knicks come into their Game 1 as a +5 underdog, but be mindful that the Spurs just concluded a brutal series against the Thunder whereas New York swept the Cleveland Cavaliers and will have fresh legs coming into the Finals.
Here are the opening odds for the Knicks-Spurs championship as well as the Game 1 line:
NBA Championship
New York Knicks +175
San Antonio Spurs -200
Game 1
New York Knicks +5
San Antonio Spurs -5
