The Philadelphia Eagles were seeing a firm 75% of the tickets and money for Monday night's game against the Chicago Bears at AcePerHead. This is true across the board with nine out of every 10 moneyline tickets are on the Eagles, accounting for 82% of money. The spread is similarly popular, with 75% of tickets laying 4.5 points with Philadelphia. Caleb Williams will NOT play tonight against the Eagles. The Bears officially ruled him out with the hamstring injury he suffered against Minnesota last week. He didn't practice at all this week. Case Keenum is expected to start for Chicago. Tyson Bagent has cleared concussion protocol and is available, but he's expected to serve as Keenum's backup. This was mostly baked into the equation earlier in the week when the line was set. The number has mostly hung around Eagles -3.5.

Brazil has just taken the extraordinary step of effectively shutting down its regulated online gambling market, including both online sports betting and online casino games. This move has stunned the industry as Brazil has become one of the most lucrative internet gambling hubs in the world, almost on par with the United States with Brazil occasionally overtaking the US in terms of readership ranking this summer. On Sept. 25, 2026, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva signed a provisional measure prohibiting the operation, offering, intermediation and advertising of fixed-odds betting. New deposits are already prohibited. Players have until Oct. 5 to withdraw funds voluntarily, and betting websites/apps are scheduled to be blocked beginning Oct. 6. Remaining player balances are supposed to be returned through financial institutions.
Brazil's Lula Bans Online Gambling Ahead of Presidential Election - Brazil's President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva on Friday announced a ban on online betting operations in Latin America's largest economy and unveiled a new debt relief program aimed at households, the latest in a series of measures introduced ahead of next month's election. Entain Maintains EBITDA Guidance, Cuts Online NGR Growth Outlook as Jefferies Warns on Brazil Ban - Entain expects its underlying EBITDA to come in towards the lower end of its £910 million to £960 million guidance range if the Brazilian ban remains in place for the rest of 2026, while online net gaming revenue growth excluding Brazil remains on track for the top end of its 5% to 7% constant-currency guidance. Brazil was the third-largest regulated online market globally in its first year and was expected to grow at a high single-digit rate. Jefferies said the ban effectively shuts Brazil’s online market, with initial share-price reactions likely to precede a review of individual company exposures. Entain cut its 2026 online net gaming revenue growth forecast to 4% to 6% after Brazil moved to ban online gambling, while maintaining its £910 million to £960 million underlying EBITDA guidance. Brazil Ban Not Expected to Become Permanent - Regulus Partners has outlined four potential outcomes for Brazil’s bombshell online gambling ban, estimating that there is only a 5% chance the controversial measure actually becomes permanent. Much is still up in the air constitutionally around this ban, not least because of an impending legal challenge from industry and the presidential election on 4 October. UIW's Roy Alexander Returns After Injunction Blocks NCAA Suspension for Sports Wagering

Incarnate Word receiver Roy Alexander made three catches for 67 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 63-10 loss at Texas State after here was permitted to play after a judge temporarily blocked the NCAA from enforcing a six-game suspension tied to sports wagering Bexar Country judge Laura Salinas granted the temporary injunction Thursday, writing that Alexander "will suffer a probable, imminent and irreparable injury" under the terms of the suspension. The NCAA filed an accelerated appeal Friday. The temporary injunction notes that the suspension would deprive Alexander of the coaching and training resources that come with Division I football, as well as skills development benefiting himself and UIW's team. The suspension would also "have a detrimental impact on his potential status with the NFL," per the injunction order. A jury trial is set for March 22.

Arkansas Saracen Casino Executive Hospitalized After Being Told He Will Be Terminated

This story has gone absolutely viral throughout the Southeastern US and especially in the state of Arkansas. Two executives of an Arkansas casino have been recommended for termination of their employment with that consideration leaked to the state press and ultimately nationwide via Gambling911.com. One of those executives, Carlton Saffa, was the very first employee of the Saracen Casino in Pine Bluff and had helped with the licensing process that resulted in converting the venue from a gas station casino to the full service resort Saracen is today. This story has now gone viral. The executives are alleged to have developed gaming software called “GamePhysics” and had marketing that produce to “third parties within the Arkansas gaming industry.” Notably, the Downstream Development Authority, whose job is to oversee Saracen, began the process of recommending Saffa and his colleague, Matt Harkness, for termination before even addressing the accusations with either individuals. Neither have officially been fired. Saffa has denied any wrongdoing.
