Yankees and Polymarket Come Together on Surprising Partnership Despite Murky Future

The Yankees aren’t afraid to jump into bed with a prediction market. American sports’ most prestigious franchise announced an official partnership with prediction market brand Polymarket on Thursday, the second of its kind after the Mets revealed a deal with NoVig last week. Polymarket will now be featured on advertisements throughout Yankee Stadium before and after games, while also appearing on LED branding behind home plate during Yankees games aired on YES Network. Federal Judge Upholds Utah's Gambling Ban in Kalshi Lawsuit

A federal judge dismissed Kalshi's challenge to Utah's gambling laws, ruling that the state's ban on gambling applies to the company's sports event contracts despite its status as a federally regulated exchange. In a ruling issued Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Robert J. Shelby granted summary judgment to Utah and concluded that federal commodities law does not prevent the state from enforcing its own anti-gambling laws.

Preseason kicks off Thursday with the Hall of Fame game between the Carolina Panthers and Arizona Cardinals.  The exhibition schedule kicks off Thursday night with Carson Beck and the Arizona Cardinals facing Kenny Pickett and the Carolina Panthers in the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio.  Carolina opens as a -1.5 favorite against Arizona in this Hall of Fame game.  $586,000 had been traded thus far Thursday morning at Kalshi.
