Vegas Gambling Drops for Third Month; Caesars’ Revenue Falls

(Reuters) - Caesars Entertainment posted a surprise third-quarter loss on Tuesday, missing market expectations, as sales were hurt by new competition and construction-related disruptions in regional markets, sending its shares down 4% after the bell.

Quarterly loss per share came in at 4 cents, compared to Wall Street expectations of a profit of 12 cents, according to data compiled by LSEG.

Caesars' bottom-line in the U.S. regional market has faced increased pressure due to new entrants and expanded offerings from existing competitors.

In the past, the casino operator flagged high competition in Indianapolis from Churchill's Terre Haute casino resort.

Sales in its regional segment fell 7.6% to $1.45 billion.

The Reno, Nevada-based company also faced construction-related disruptions at its New Orleans property in the third quarter, as it underwent a $435 million renovation.

Its revenue for the quarter ended September 30, fell 4% to $2.87 billion, compared to estimates of $2.92 billion.

RHOC's Ryan Laughs at Being Called a 'Money Launderer’ Weeks Before Alleged Involvement in Gambling Scheme

The Real Housewives of Orange County is ending season 18 with a bang.

The finale episode on Oct. 31 saw cameras pick back up three weeks after filming ended with Jenn Pedranti and Ryan Boyajian’s engagement party. The ladies came back together after news broke that Ryan was connected to an alleged gambling scheme. (He was never actually indicted and was granted full immunity in the case.)

“Ryan is being accused of laundering money through casinos in Vegas,” Emily Simpson can be heard saying as articles about the case popped up on the screen.

“What the f---? This is huge,” Tamra Judge said.

Cameras then cut to Jenn and Ryan at home discussing the news, where Jenn noted that “it feels like this is a lot to me.”

“I thought it was for you too,” she added, wondering why Ryan was so calm about the situation.

MAGA Bros and the Real Betting Market

One of the U.S. largest online sportsbooks and daily fantasy sports providers, DraftKings, was cited as playing a key role in the so-called "MAGA Bro" movement.

"MAGA Bro" refers to the high octane, overcharged masculinity infused Donald Trump mostly young male voting block.  We saw it on full display this past Sunday at Madison Square Garden.

Those who claim to speak for them at least are claiming a campaign to undermine the Bros by their "devout" wives is unconscionable, specifically these wives voting for Kamala Harris all the while reassuring their vote was for Trump.

Conservative influencer Michael Cernovich invoked Draftkings as part of the "MAGA Bros" movement.

Speaking to the Daily Beast via email, Cernovich praised Trump’s strategy of appearing on a string of podcasts with overwhelmingly male audiences—including the Joe Rogan Experience mocked—as a way of getting his message out without going through traditional and legacy media.

But he also mocked the demographics of the podcast listenership, noting the Republican campaign should do more to reach women voters.

“It’s great that Trump did podcasts,” Cernovich wrote. “It drove news, which is good because otherwise stuff gets made up. Problem is thinking that Draft Kings coupon code link clicking alcoholics who space out when tuning into podcasts while high, vote. Women vote, and more needs to be done!”

As for the true indicator of presidential betting, BetOnline is the more accurate of them all.....considering they take bets from those in the States, unlike Polymarket.
