Top Trending: Bookies Get Beat Up Bad With Big Public NFL Favorites Winning
Another week of NFL games is coming to a close, so how did the books fare?
Here was your most lopsided action on the day:
- Dallas Cowboys 75%
- Indianapolis Colts 75%
- Philadelphia Eagles 60% - This line dropped from -5.5 to -4
- New York Giants 75% - Saints went from a Pick'em to -2
- Arizona Cardinals 85% - Cardinals -8 to -7.5
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers 64%
- LA Chargers -74%
- Detroit Lions 90%
- Buffalo Bills 72% - Bills -10 to -8
These were your most wagered on games:
- Patriots @ Bills
- Lions @ Bengals
- Raiders @ Colts
- Broncos @ Eagles
- Cowboys @ Jets
The Lions decimated the Bengals on their own home field Sunday. That was a killer for the books.
David Montgomery ran for a touchdown and threw for one on a trick play in his hometown, Jared Goff passed for three scores and the Detroit Lions rolled to their fourth straight win, 37-24 over the reeling Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.
The Colts crushed the Raiders. Indianapolis was seeing as much as 75% of the action in this game.
Pete Carroll's upbeat spirit began to show cracks Sunday afternoon.
The Las Vegas Raiders were handed a 40-6 drubbing by the Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium, marking the team's fourth straight loss and the largest margin of defeat since its 48-9 loss at Kansas City in 2021.
The Raiders' performance over the past four weeks has been the complete opposite of what Carroll hoped for in his first season as the coach. During the first day of training camp in July, he stood proudly in front of reporters and said, "We are going to win a bunch, and I don't care who hears that."
Instead, the Raiders are 1-4 -- the worst start in Carroll's head coaching career.
"I'm processing it poorly to tell you the truth, because I did expect to win right out of the chutes," said Carroll after enduring his second-largest margin of defeat as a coach -- including NFL and college.
The Cowboys, seeing 75% of the action, took care of business against the Jets Sunday.
One bit of good news for the books, Denver shocked the reigning Super Bowl champs, the Philadelphia Eagles.
Bo Nix led the Broncos on three scoring drives on three possessions in the fourth quarter, J.K. Dobbins rushed for a 2-yard score in the period and the Broncos wiped out a 14-point deficit to hand the Philadelphia Eagles their first loss of the season, 21-17.

Pereira Dethrones Ankalaev With a 1st-Round Stoppage at UFC 320 - (AP) — Fan favorite Alex Pereira dethroned Magomed Ankalaev at UFC 320, taking the light heavyweight championship with a first-round stoppage Saturday night.
Pereira (13-3-0) floored Ankalaev (21-2-1) after hurting him with a huge right hand and quickly went to work using thunderous elbows during a ground-and-pound before referee Herb Dean stepped in to stop the bout at the 1:20 mark.
Pereira brought an end to Ankalaev’s 14-match unbeaten streak, while exacting revenge for a loss in the fighters’ first meeting in March.
“I wasn’t well that night, but tonight I was very well,” Pereira said through his translator.

Atlanta Braves News
David Ross' Own Words Should Have Braves Steering Clear in Manager Search - David Ross at 5/1 odds to become the Braves next manager might have lost some value. Ross played for the Braves in 2009 and 2010, have some of his most productive seasons with the organization. But, as FanSided/s Mark Powell points out, "Ross can't take a job until he gets over his Cubs exit".
In an interview with The Atlantic this past week, Ross seems not to have let go.
Powell writes:
As much as I sympathize with Ross, he was forced out of Chicago two years ago now. If he hopes to take another position – and in the same vain as Counsell leave several other former managers jobless – he'll have to learn from his past mistakes and prove he's ready to move on to the next challenge. His own words suggest he needs more time.

Connor McDavid News
On Friday, Daily Faceoff’s Matt Larkin dove into it all with 25 bold predictions for the upcoming season. Uncertain about his future but still believing the Edmonton Oilers can win a Stanley Cup soon, Connor McDavid re-signs…for three years. McDavid is worth $20 million annually but “settles” for something in the Kirill Kaprizov range, hoping that gives GM Stan Bowman enough cap space to put a championship-caliber team on the ice. We fire up the handwringing once more when McDavid arrives at his 2028-29 walk year as a 31-year-old. While there’s been rumours of McDavid signing a shorter deal, three years would be a surprise, suggests Dylan Nazareth of OilersNation. Especially since it would make us less than two years out from starting this whole process again. Still, to have arguably the best player in the world signed on a team-friendly deal is something no fan would turn down.
