The United Kingdom’s largest bookmaker, William Hill, saw its site crash this past Tuesday and now the betting firm has confirmed this was all a result of an orchestrated cyber attack.

William Hill advised Thursday that a Denial of Service (DDoS) attack took place, preventing the site from loading properly.

The cyberattack was described as “sophisticated” and follows a series of attacks last week targeted the servers of tech company Dyn, which controls many of the Web’s top sites including CNN, Netflix and Twitter.

William Hill’s online casino was also knocked out as a result of the DDoS attack.
