Masters Map: Which State is Rooting for Which Golfer

The map below courtesy of BetOnline.ag is based on geotagged X data in the last week, tracking tweets, hashtags and direct keyword phrases about which golfer each state believes will win the 2025 Masters.  Bet the Masters at BetOnline Here

For example, "Scheffler will win The Masters," "Scheffler will win the green jacket," "McIlroy will win The Masters," "McIlroy will win the green jacket," "betting on Scheffler to win," etc. Over 110,000 tweets were tracked.

As you can see from the map, most of America is going with Scottie Scheffler or Rory McIlroy, which is no surprise as those two are also the betting favorites, and seem to be coming into top form at the right time.

Bryson DeChambeau got a ton of love, especially ahead of other golfers like Xander Schauffele and Ludvig Aberg, who didn't have any states pick them. A potential reason for this is that DeChambeau has embraced social media more than most of the top golfers right now, and is starting to gain a lot of attention and fans via platforms like Instagram and YouTube.

Justin Thomas' hometown is Louisville, which would explain why Kentucky chose him (though he’s been playing well of late).
