What is the Head to Head Record for the Phillies vs. Braves? Betting Trends

The Phillies-Braves series has not seen either team with an edge in recent times.

Philadelphia was struggling ahead coming into this week having won just four games as of Tuesday night May 23.

The Braves had won four of their last seven heading into Tuesday night.

The series (vs. the Phillies) offers Charlie Morton an opportunity to redeem himself on Saturday as he was tagged for six runs in five innings by the Dodgers on Monday.

“It was a tough game to lose,” said manager Brian Snitker, whose Braves were now 4 1/2 games over the Mets following a rough patch. “We had another one of our first innings, and then kind of stalled out. So I don’t know what the gist of that is. If you’re going to score those four, you’d probably rather score in the seventh or eighth when the other team doesn’t have so much time to come back. Or, we’ve got to do an effective job adding on.”

Morton is 4-3 with a 3.61 ERA.  Philadelphia Phillies career statistics vs. Morton have them hitting 42 of 152 at bats. Bryce Harper is 10 for 25 with 7 RBIs against him.  Alec Bohm is 10 for 23 with 5 RBIs.

Philadelphia's Zack Wheeler has been solid against Braves batters.  He's 50 for 218 (.229).  Travis d'Arnaud is 8 for 16 against him with 4 RBIs.  Eight Braves batters have a single homer against Wheeler, who hasn't won since April 29 and has three losses since then.

Wheeler has pitched 6 or more innings in four of his last five starts with the total not going above eight in four of those (9 in the 5th).
