Opening Line Trend

Dogs in the 3 to 3.5 range had been enjoying success early in the season though that trend has since cooled off.  We get a number of 3.60 for the Magic.  The wrong team appears to be favored here but that is a result of the Heat playing much better of late and the Magic stumbling.

Recent Head to Head

The Heat have won five of the last six and eight of the last ten in this series.  One of the two Magic wins came in overtime.

Recent Performance

From Winners and Whiners:

"The Heat are playing stifling defense, conceding 109 or fewer points in four of their last five games. This is not a good sign for the Magic who are in an extended scoring slump, recording 104 or fewer points in four of their last five decisions and this is not the matchup to break out. The Heat have shut down the Magic this season. They beat the rivals by nine points in the first meeting and three points in the second."
