Brock Nelson Next Team Odds
BetOnline has released odds on where Brock Nelson will end up next season. The Minnesota Wild are favorites at 2/1, but the Dallas Stars do follow closely at 5/2 odds.
Pierre LeBrun, columnist for The Athletic, lists five teams as notable pursuers of the nine-time 20-goal scorer:
Minnesota Wild
Winnipeg Jets
New Jersey Devils
Colorado Avalanche
Toronto Maple Leafs
Dallas does not factor among LeBrun's list, even though they come in with the second shortest odds.
Winnipeg is not listed among the odds at BetOnline, nor do the Colorado Avalanche or Toronto Maple Leafs for that matter. Both are among the teams LeBrun feels Nelson could end up playing for.
During Tuesday night's ESPN broadcast, play-by-play man John Buccigross said the following: "Brock Nelson, picked by Bill Guerin (Wild GM who picked Nelson for Team USA in the 4 Nations Face-off). Everyone thinks Nelson is going to sign with Minnesota, it's like the worse kept secret in hockey, that he'll be with the Wild next year."
In 901 games played thus far, Nelson has 295 goals and 574 points with a 9+ rating.
