Los Angeles Kings are the 2-1 favorites to land Mikko Rantanen as BetOnline has release his next team odds.

Daily Faceoff’s Frank Seravalli explained, six teams in the playoff hunt, some desperate and hit by key injuries, are looking to land the 28-year-old Finnish star.

“Teams calling on Rantanen have been informed that he is not signing the 8-year, $100-plus million franchise-record offer on the table from Carolina prior to Friday’s deadline. That has left the Hurricanes in the ultimate position of power. They have received what sources describe as multiple ‘compelling’ offers for Rantanen and teams still have 24+ hours to make their best deal. Or, the Canes can keep the true ‘game breaker’ that they’ve been missing for a playoff run in a bracket that appears to set up nicely for them. Right now, it’s been best described as a ‘true toss-up’ on which way it goes, with Rantanen staying or going. The list of interested parties is enormous, and inconclusive, put keep an eye on: Vegas, Florida, New Jersey, Dallas, Toronto and Detroit. Carolina could retain half of Rantanen’s remaining $4.7 million to fit anywhere,” Seravalli wrote.
