Coming into the start of the week, Arrogate was coming in With 11/4 odds of winning the 2017 Breeders Cup Classic.
Arrogate had won 7 straight races before falling on “hard times” with a 4th place then a 2nd place finish at the San Diego Handicap and Pacific Classic, respectively.
Arrogate showed his competitiveness in the final Breeders Cup Classic workout ahead of Saturday’s big race.
"He needs something to run at," trainer Bob Baffert said of Arrogate's competitive nature. "It was just to keep him in the work and sharpen him up. He's doing really well and he's coming into it as good as he could."
